Pete Murphy picked up his first pair of drumsticks when he was five. Along with a Ludwig snare, he drove anyone nearby insane with a constant attack of rolls and paradiddles.
He picked up his first drum set when he was 13, and by the time he was 15, he was in his first band – Tequila Jam.
Tequila Jam played the Philadelphia area for eight years, before Pete left the band. He still keeps in touch with the other members, and even played a gig with them in 2017!
Pete later joined the band Monsters of Rhythm in the Pennsylvania area. This band performed mostly original tunes, and had a real chance to go somewhere. Unfortunately, they were never able to get the right lineup.
Pete later moved to Las Vegas and joined the cover band 5-5 East.
Following his reunion gig with Tequila Jam, Pete joined The Circuit Benders in 2018.
